As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an indispensable part in maintaining the high standards that our establishment is known for, directly contributing to the smooth flow of service and overall customer satisfaction.
Your daily tasks will be diverse and dynamic, ranging from meticulous cleaning to essential stock management. You will be responsible for washing and sterilising all kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots, and pans, utilizing industrial dishwashers effectively and ensuring all items are sparkling clean and ready for use. Beyond the dishes, you will keep the entire kitchen area immaculately clean, including work surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas. This involves regular sweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning schedules to meet stringent health and safety regulations.
A key aspect of this role involves supporting our culinary team by ensuring they have a constant supply of clean equipment. You’ll be quick on your feet, anticipating needs in a fast-paced service environment. Furthermore, you will assist with the careful management of our stock. This includes receiving deliveries, checking items against invoices, and safely storing them in designated areas such as dry stores, refrigerators, and freezers. Proper stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out) will be essential to minimise waste and maintain freshness. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining an organised and tidy storage environment, making it easy for chefs to access ingredients.

Your proactive approach to cleanliness and organisation will directly impact the efficiency and safety of our kitchen.
