Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Conduct comprehensive garden bed maintenance: weeding, mulching, planting, and pruning of shrubs and small trees.
- Safely and efficiently operate and maintain various landscaping tools and power equipment.
- Execute seasonal property clean-ups, including leaf removal and debris disposal.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems.
- Support minor hardscaping projects, such as pathway installation or repair.
- Ensure all work areas are left clean, tidy, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and operational policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Maintain positive client relations and represent the company professionally on-site.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a Landscaper or in a similar groundskeeping role.
- Proficiency in operating a wide range of landscaping tools and power equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Solid knowledge of horticulture, including plant identification, care, and basic disease recognition.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship on every project.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to complete tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Horticulture diploma or relevant certification from a recognized institution.
- Experience with irrigation system installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of pest and disease identification and integrated pest management.
- Basic hardscaping skills (e.g., experience with paver installation, retaining walls).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience operating trailers and larger landscaping machinery.
