Job Description

This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about mechanics, precision, and hands-on work, even without prior lathe operating experience. Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing manufacturing team as a Lathe Operator, with comprehensive training provided from day one. If you’ve always been curious about how intricate metal parts are created and possess a strong work ethic, this could be your gateway to a rewarding career in machining.

As a Lathe Operator Trainee, you will embark on a structured training program designed to equip you with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to safely and efficiently operate conventional and potentially CNC lathes. Under the guidance of our experienced machinists, you will learn the intricacies of machine setup, tooling selection, blueprint reading, and quality control. This isn’t just a job; it’s an apprenticeship into a skilled trade where you will develop expertise in transforming raw materials into precision components vital for various industrial applications.

Your initial weeks will focus on workplace safety, machine components, basic measurements, and material handling. As you progress, you’ll gain hands-on experience with lathe operations, including turning, facing, boring, threading, and tapering. We are committed to fostering a learning environment where questions are encouraged, and mentorship is key. Our goal is to develop highly competent operators who understand not just *how* to operate the machines, but *why* specific processes are used and *how* to troubleshoot common issues.

This position offers long-term career growth potential within our organization. Successful trainees will have opportunities to advance to more complex machining tasks, work with advanced machinery, and potentially specialize in areas like CNC programming or lead roles. Hiring.zycto values dedication, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to learning. Join us and build a career where your contributions are tangible, and your skill set is continuously expanding. We’re not just offering a job; we’re offering a pathway to becoming a master of your craft in a supportive and innovative environment.
