As a Laundry Attendant, you will oversee the entire linen cycle, from collection and sorting to washing, drying, folding, and distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and distribute linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabric items according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain industrial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, and wear, treating or reporting issues as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including the proper handling and storage of chemicals.
- Monitor laundry supplies, reporting low stock levels and assisting with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding linen availability and specific requirements.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions to management promptly.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of linen to various departments or areas as required.
- Ensure timely processing of all laundry to meet operational demands.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a laundry or cleaning services environment.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy laundry bags (up to 20kg).
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a laundry setting.
