Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers, folders) safely and efficiently.
- Sort linens, towels, uniforms, and other textile items according to type, colour, and treatment requirements.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, pre-treating as necessary before washing.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of machines, adhering to capacity limits and specific wash cycles.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean linen neatly, preparing it for distribution to various departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or malfunctions with laundry equipment promptly.
- Manage inventory levels of laundry supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all hygiene, sanitation, and safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, lift, bend, and push/pull heavy carts for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic literacy for reading instructions and labels.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in a commercial laundry or hospitality setting.

- Understanding of health and safety guidelines, including COSHH regulations.
- Ability to operate industrial laundry machinery.
