Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled linen, towels, and uniforms according to fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironers, adhering to safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Inspect all items for damage, stains, or wear and tear before and after laundering, treating stains as necessary.
- Fold, press, and organize cleaned linen, towels, and uniforms to hotel standards for distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, including machines, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Monitor and replenish laundry supplies such as detergents, softeners, and stain removers.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to management.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocking of linen closets as required.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely linen supply.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry moderate loads (up to 25 lbs).
