- Support legal counsel in litigation preparedness, risk assessment, and the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at federal, provincial, and international levels that may impact the Museum's activities.
- Ensure the Museum's adherence to all relevant legal and ethical standards, contributing to best practices in governance and compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments within the Museum to provide legal information and support for projects, exhibitions, and daily operations.

- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in good standing with a provincial law society in Canada (e.g., Law Society of Ontario).
- Specialized knowledge or experience in cultural heritage law, intellectual property law, non-profit governance, or public sector law.
- Experience working with or for government agencies, cultural institutions, or museums.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
