This pivotal role involves the comprehensive lifecycle management of our diverse collection, ensuring that our resources are expertly acquired, organized, preserved, and readily discoverable by our users.

As our Librarian – Resource Management, you will be instrumental in shaping our collection development strategies, from identifying and evaluating new materials across various formats – including print, digital journals, e-books, databases, and multimedia resources – to overseeing their efficient acquisition and seamless integration into our library system. Your expertise in cataloging, classification, and metadata creation will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and discoverability of our extensive holdings, adhering strictly to international standards such as MARC21, RDA, and AACR2. You will be responsible for creating high-quality bibliographic records, performing authority control, and ensuring consistency across our entire collection.

You will monitor budget allocations for resource acquisition, negotiate favourable terms with publishers and vendors, and analyze usage statistics to inform future purchasing decisions and collection deselection. Your commitment to continuous improvement will drive initiatives to streamline workflows, implement best practices in library resource management, and explore innovative solutions for information delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to service excellence, to contribute to a forward-thinking institution dedicated to fostering knowledge and empowering its community.
