Hiring.zycto is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team immediately. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure every plate meets our high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items to company standards and specifications, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Execute daily prep tasks accurately and efficiently, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces.
  • Manage a specific station (e.g., grill, sauté, fry) during service, ensuring all items are cooked to order and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperature throughout the cooking process and before plating.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP, local health codes).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, including equipment and utensils, at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and proper storage of food supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and perform basic maintenance checks.
  • Communicate any ingredient shortages or equipment malfunctions to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful kitchen culture.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure during busy periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with various international cuisines.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
