Job Description
This role at Hiring.zycto is a crucial cog in our logistics machinery, central to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our Thorncliffe Park distribution center. As a Loader Unloader, you will be directly responsible for the careful handling, movement, and organization of various materials and products. You will spend your days actively engaged in physically demanding yet rewarding work. This includes manually loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers, often involving items of varying weights and sizes, requiring consistent heavy lifting. Beyond the physical aspect, you’ll be instrumental in verifying shipments against manifests, ensuring accuracy, and identifying any discrepancies immediately. Your organizational skills will be put to use as you sort, stack, and stage products in designated warehouse areas, maintaining a clean, safe, and navigable workspace at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload freight, cargo, and products from trucks, trailers, and containers, consistently handling items requiring heavy lifting.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices, manifests, or other records for accuracy and completeness.
- Sort, stack, and organize materials in designated warehouse areas, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy accessibility.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently to move heavy or bulky items (training provided if necessary).
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and proper material handling techniques, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, reporting any hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse team members, drivers, and supervisors to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform heavy and repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly).
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail for verifying shipments and identifying discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, instructions, and counts.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role.
