Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Loan Officer to join our vibrant team in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough credit evaluations of loan applications, including analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and collateral.
  • Assess risk factors associated with each loan application and make sound recommendations for approval or denial.
  • Prepare comprehensive loan proposals and presentations for review by senior management.
  • Ensure all loan applications comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants, explaining loan terms, conditions, and requirements clearly.
  • Oversee the efficient and accurate disbursement of approved loan funds.
  • Maintain detailed and organized client records and loan documentation.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify potential risks or opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in lending regulations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Loan Officer, Credit Analyst, or similar lending role.
  • Proven experience in credit evaluation and risk assessment.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a high-volume pipeline.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with a range of loan products (e.g., personal loans, business loans, mortgages).
  • Familiarity with CRM and loan origination software.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CeMAP for mortgage lending in the UK).
