Key Responsibilities
- Originate new loan applications by actively seeking out and developing relationships with potential borrowers and referral partners.
- Evaluate loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to assess applicants' creditworthiness and financial standing.
- Educate clients on various loan products, terms, and conditions, helping them select the most suitable options for their needs.
- Guide applicants through the entire loan process from initial application to closing, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, provincial, and company lending regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and closing departments to facilitate timely and accurate loan processing.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current market trends, interest rates, and competitor offerings.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly loan origination targets and other performance metrics.
- Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally, building lasting relationships.
- Prepare and present loan proposals, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Loan Officer, Mortgage Broker, or similar lending role.
- Proven ability to generate leads and build a strong client pipeline.
- In-depth knowledge of lending products (mortgage, personal, commercial) and financial markets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
