Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight movements (road, sea, air) for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise directly with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates on status and proactively resolving transit issues.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations and manifests.
- Negotiate rates with transport providers and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and inventory.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to deliveries and logistics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics and supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years proven experience in a logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain role.
- Demonstrable experience in scheduling deliveries and managing freight operations.
- Proficiency in using logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
