Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule freight movements (road, rail, sea, air) to meet delivery deadlines and client requirements.
- Optimize delivery routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and address any logistical challenges.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, invoices, and waybills.
- Monitor shipment status from dispatch to delivery, proactively resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, freight costs, and delivery performance metrics.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with freight forwarders and transportation providers.
- Ensure compliance with national and international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, warehouse, customer service) to ensure seamless workflow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, with a focus on freight and delivery scheduling.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and logistics best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
