Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily transport schedules and routes for optimal efficiency.
- Liaise with drivers, ensuring they have all necessary documentation and instructions.
- Track and monitor shipments from dispatch to delivery, providing real-time updates.
- Resolve operational issues promptly, including delays, rerouting, and vehicle breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of all transport activities, including manifests, proof of delivery, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery statuses, potential delays, and special requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist with freight booking, capacity planning, and carrier selection.
- Utilise transport management systems (TMS) and other software for planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure seamless inbound and outbound logistics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar transport logistics role.
- Strong understanding of transport regulations and documentation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
