Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any issues promptly.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, verifying accuracy against manifest or delivery notes to prevent discrepancies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, making timely deliveries and pickups while optimizing fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, potential delays, or any unforeseen issues.
- Represent Hiring.zycto professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service during interactions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper handling of materials and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep company vehicles clean and tidy, performing basic interior and exterior maintenance to uphold appearance and functionality.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery schedules.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and fundamental road safety practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaborate effectively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a role requiring significant driving, even if personal or volunteer.
- Familiarity with Gainesville and surrounding Alachua County roadways and navigation.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks and troubleshooting.
