Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the logistics department, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Negotiate contracts and foster strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Analyze and report on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal transportation and trade regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Utilize supply chain software and technology to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize routes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and production teams to align logistics activities with business objectives.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, freight forwarding, and warehousing best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
