Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Logistics Manager to lead our supply chain operations in Swansea, Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and other third-party logistics providers.
  • Analyze supply chain performance data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to enhance operational flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
  • Utilize supply chain software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to track inventory, shipments, and logistics metrics.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, production, finance) to forecast demand and align logistics operations with business goals.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations management.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehousing operations, and transportation modes.
  • Expertise in supply chain optimization techniques and lean methodologies.
  • Proficiency with ERP, WMS, or TMS systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CSCMP, APICS, or PMP.
  • Experience with international shipping and customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
