Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and other third-party logistics providers.
- Analyze supply chain performance data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to enhance operational flow.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Utilize supply chain software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to track inventory, shipments, and logistics metrics.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, production, finance) to forecast demand and align logistics operations with business goals.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations management.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehousing operations, and transportation modes.
- Expertise in supply chain optimization techniques and lean methodologies.
