Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload freight, ensuring efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Verify product counts and condition against manifests, reporting any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Sort, stack, and organize products in designated areas, adhering to warehouse layout and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, including sweeping, tidying, and waste disposal.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance for sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying products.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and report issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or general labor role.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required.
