Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and diligent Machine Operator to join our thriving manufacturing team in Totley, Sheffield. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery (CNC, textile, or general manufacturing) according to safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Set up machines, load raw materials, and adjust settings to optimize performance and output.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications accurately.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and basic troubleshooting of machines.
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions, production issues, or quality deviations to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and material usage.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and continuous improvement.
- Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment (CNC, textile, or general manufacturing).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them rigorously.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and machine interface operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.

- Forklift license or experience with other material handling equipment.
