Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Maintenance Millwright to join our dynamic team in Toronto. As a pivotal member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of our state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems, developing and implementing effective repair solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine repair procedures.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts to position machinery and parts.
- Repair and replace faulty parts, components, and systems.
- Perform precision alignments using various tools and techniques.
- Conduct welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required for repairs and modifications.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment status.
- Collaborate effectively with other maintenance staff, production teams, and external contractors.
Required Skills
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification (433A Industrial Millwright)
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Millwright in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Welding certification (e.g., CWB) or strong welding experience
- Forklift and aerial work platform certification
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodology exposure
