Job Description
As a Maintenance Supervisor at Hiring.zycto, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and impeccable upkeep of our diverse portfolio of facilities across Putney, London. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventative maintenance programs and reactive repairs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs, assess work quality, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage maintenance budgets, control expenditures, and optimize resource allocation effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors for effective project execution and service delivery.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting issues efficiently.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance and facility uptime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in facilities management.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new maintenance staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or lead technician role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong technical knowledge across various trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, fabric maintenance).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
- Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH, LOLER, P.A.T.).
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Budget management and cost control experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3/4, City & Guilds) in a building services trade.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Project management experience in a facilities context.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and energy efficiency initiatives.
- First Aid certification.
