Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across various properties, including plumbing, electrical (basic), carpentry, painting, and plastering.
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Diagnose problems and determine the most effective solutions for repairs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of assets and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Liaise with external contractors when specialised repairs are required.
- Manage and organise tools, equipment, and inventory of spare parts.
- Assist with minor renovation and refurbishment projects as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants and property users.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Worker or similar role.
- Solid understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and other crafts.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical aptitude for manual labour, including lifting, bending, and working at heights.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
