Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment under supervision, after receiving thorough training.
- Perform general assembly tasks and component preparation according to production specifications.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, identifying and reporting any defects.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of raw materials and finished goods within the facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures rigorously to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Participate actively in training sessions and commit to continuous learning and skill development.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Basic comprehension of safety rules and regulations.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and repetitive motions.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labor or industrial setting (even if not manufacturing specific).
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology (training provided if unfamiliar).
- Forklift certification (an asset, but not required).
