Key Responsibilities
- Effectively portray the assigned mascot character with consistent energy, enthusiasm, and adherence to character specifications.
- Engage actively and positively with event attendees of all ages through non-verbal communication, gestures, and body language.
- Participate in scheduled photo opportunities, meet-and-greets, and promotional activities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the mascot costume, reporting any damages or issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with event staff, coordinators, and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines while in costume and performing.
- Adapt performance style and interactions to suit various event types, environments, and audience demographics.

Required Skills
- Exceptional non-verbal communication skills and expressive body language.
- High level of physical stamina and ability to perform in a costume for extended periods in various weather conditions.

- Basic understanding of crowd engagement and entertainment principles.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mascot, costumed character, or in a performance-based role.
- Experience working with children and diverse audiences.
- Ability to improvise and adapt to unexpected situations gracefully.
- Familiarity with local Winnipeg events and venues, particularly within the Exchange District.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
