Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck), pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Accurately receive, store, pick, and ship products according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, policies, and health regulations to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification (counterbalance, reach truck) with a strong safety record.
- Proficient in operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory scanning and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with inventory management systems (WMS) or RF scanners.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations specific to a warehouse setting.
- Previous night shift experience in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
