Hiring.zycto is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team in Western Gap, Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, inspections, and troubleshooting to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
  • Execute complex repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking systems, and HVAC units.
  • Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately pinpoint and resolve vehicle malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and hours worked.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair needs, and estimated timelines.
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and manufacturer specifications through ongoing training.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workshop.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections and prepare new vehicles for customer handover when required.

Required Skills

  • Valid Automotive Service Technician (310S) certification in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
  • Familiarity with various diagnostic software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a diverse range of vehicle makes and models.
  • ASE certifications (or equivalent) in specific automotive areas.
  • Proficiency with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
  • Experience using advanced diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and scan tools.
  • Post-secondary education in Automotive Technology or a related field.
