Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reschedules efficiently using our clinic's system.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take accurate messages, and respond to general inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Process patient registrations, update demographic and insurance information, and verify coverage details.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic patient records with strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines (e.g., PHIPA).
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and assist patients with basic billing inquiries.
- Prepare patient charts, scan documents into the EMR system, and manage incoming and outgoing mail/faxes.
- Ensure the waiting area and reception are tidy, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Assist with general office duties, including faxing, copying, stocking supplies, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
