Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient encounters, including history of present illness, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans in the EHR system.
- Transcribe physician dictations and conversations directly into patient charts in real-time during virtual consultations.
- Prepare and format medical documents for review and signature by the supervising physician.
- Ensure all documentation is compliant with relevant medical, legal, and ethical standards, including HIPAA and HITECH.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members regarding documentation clarity and completeness.
- Assist physicians with administrative tasks related to patient charts, such as retrieving lab results or imaging studies.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all data security protocols.
- Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic procedures, and relevant regulations.
