Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our dynamic team in Kirkstall, Leeds. In this pivotal role, you will be the visual architect of our retail presence, responsible for bringing our brand story to life through compelling product displays and meticulous arrangement. You will play a crucial part in enhancing the customer shopping experience, ensuring that our products are presented in an attractive, accessible, and commercially effective manner.
Your day-to-day will involve a blend of creative design and strategic execution. You will be instrumental in implementing seasonal promotions, new product launches, and core product displays, all while adhering to established brand guidelines and visual merchandising standards. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong understanding of retail trends, and the ability to translate strategic directives into engaging visual narratives. You’ll be expected to actively monitor stock levels, ensure products are correctly priced and labelled, and maintain a pristine and organised sales floor. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with store management and sales teams to align merchandising efforts with sales goals, providing valuable feedback on product performance and display effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement visually appealing and commercially effective product displays.
- Arrange and re-arrange merchandise according to planograms and brand visual merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to maintain optimal stock on shelves.
- Ensure all products are correctly priced, labelled, and displayed according to promotional signage.
- Implement seasonal promotions, new product launches, and special event displays.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised sales environment, ensuring displays are always immaculate.
- Provide regular feedback to store management and head office on product performance and display effectiveness.
- Collaborate with sales teams to align merchandising strategies with sales objectives.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure display standards are consistently met.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities for cross-merchandising and upselling through creative display solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in visual merchandising or retail display.
- Strong aesthetic sense and creative flair for product presentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret and execute planograms and merchandising directives.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic understanding of retail sales principles and customer buying behaviour.
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
