Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mortgage clients post-initial advice, guiding them through the application and documentation process.
  • Collect, review, and organize all necessary client documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with clients, lenders, solicitors, and other third parties to expedite application processing and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records using our CRM system, tracking application progress and important milestones.
  • Assist clients with understanding complex mortgage terms, conditions, and product features as necessary, clarifying any uncertainties.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues or delays to senior advisors or management, proposing practical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, company policies, and data protection guidelines.
  • Support the Mortgage Advisor team with administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, and pipeline management.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare client review documents and follow-up communications as required.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mortgage administration, client support, or financial services documentation role.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the mortgage application process, products, and regulatory environment (e.g., FCA, MCOB).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in document management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with specific mortgage CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Twenty7Tec, Iress).
  • Familiarity with the Manchester property market and local lending landscape.
  • Previous experience in a regulated financial services environment.
