Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial needs analysis for clients to understand their mortgage requirements.
- Provide expert, impartial advice on a wide range of mortgage products and services.
- Guide clients through the entire mortgage application process, from initial inquiry to completion.
- Ensure all advice and transactions comply with FCA regulations and internal policies.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships through exceptional service and follow-up.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and client referrals.
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, product changes, and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., underwriters, solicitors) to ensure smooth client journeys.
- Prepare and present clear, compliant mortgage proposals and documentation.
Required Skills
- Full CeMAP qualification (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mortgage Advisor/Consultant within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent understanding of the UK mortgage market, products, and lending criteria.
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced financial planning qualifications (e.g., CeRER, DipFA).
