Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client interviews to assess financial needs and determine suitable mortgage products.
- Educate clients on mortgage options, processes, and relevant market conditions.
- Analyze financial data, credit reports, and property valuations to prepare accurate mortgage applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams (underwriters, risk management) and external partners (real estate agents, lawyers) to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintain a robust knowledge of mortgage products, industry regulations, and market trends.
- Proactively follow up on leads and maintain a strong referral network to grow the mortgage portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with all lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Specialist or similar lending role within a banking environment.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, lending principles, and regulatory compliance (e.g., BCFSA regulations for BC, Canada).
- Strong financial analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
