Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network infrastructures (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, cloud networking).
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet a plus).
- Monitor network performance and availability, identifying and resolving connectivity and performance issues proactively.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewall rules, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide advanced technical support for network-related incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams on projects, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents as required.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies, security threats, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and network security principles.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting/automation (Python, Ansible) for network configuration management.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework.
