Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, and toileting, always maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques safely.
  • Monitor residents' health status, noting and reporting any changes in condition, behaviour, or well-being to senior staff immediately.
  • Respond promptly to call bells and residents' requests, offering reassurance and practical support.
  • Ensure residents are comfortable and settled throughout the night, assisting with repositioning as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, observations, and any incidents.
  • Prepare and serve refreshments or snacks as required, adhering to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other care staff and professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (even informal) in a caring role, volunteering, or similar.
  • First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • NVQ Level 1 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards).
