This is an immediate start opportunity based at our Heaton Moor, Manchester facility, playing a crucial role in our mission to process and repurpose waste materials efficiently and safely. As a Night Shift Recycling Operative, you will be integral to the initial stages of the recycling process, ensuring that various materials are sorted, separated, and prepared for further processing or dispatch. Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort and separate various recyclable materials (plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, metals) from conveyor belts or designated areas.
- Identify and remove contaminants to ensure the quality and purity of sorted materials.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently as required, after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with general site maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily processing targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
