Job Description

Are you a recent graduate eager to launch your career in a dynamic and impactful healthcare setting? Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for an entry-level, full-time position in the heart of Toronto. This is an incredible opportunity for a budding professional to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced occupational therapists, and make a profound difference in patients’ lives right from day one.

As an OTA, you will play a crucial role in our patient rehabilitation journey, working collaboratively with registered Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans. Your daily activities will involve assisting patients of all ages, from diverse backgrounds, who are recovering from injuries, illnesses, or living with disabilities. You’ll help them regain independence, improve their functional abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life. This role goes beyond clinical tasks; it’s about empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful goals.

We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient care. You will be responsible for preparing treatment areas, demonstrating therapeutic exercises, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and educating patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment use. Meticulous documentation of patient progress and observations will also be a key part of your contribution, ensuring seamless communication within our multidisciplinary team.

At Hiring.zycto, we understand the importance of nurturing new talent. As an entry-level OTA, you won’t just be performing tasks; you’ll be developing foundational skills, receiving ongoing mentorship, and engaging in continuous learning opportunities. Our supportive environment fosters professional growth, encouraging you to ask questions, share insights, and truly invest in your career development within the allied health field. This position offers a unique chance to grow professionally within a forward-thinking organization dedicated to enhancing community health outcomes. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and motivating environment, helping patients build confidence as they work towards their recovery milestones. From setting up specialized equipment to guiding patients through therapeutic activities that improve fine motor skills, coordination, and strength, your direct involvement will be invaluable. You’ll also learn to adapt interventions based on individual patient needs and progress, providing crucial support in various settings, potentially including our in-house clinic and community outreach programs. Embrace this opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting, contributing meaningfully to a team where every voice is heard and every effort contributes to our collective success in patient rehabilitation. If you’re passionate about helping others achieve their fullest potential and ready to embark on a rewarding career, we encourage you to apply.
