Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and moderate user-generated content across multiple online platforms (forums, social media, comments sections, etc.) to ensure adherence to community guidelines.
  • Engage proactively with community members, foster positive discussions, answer questions, and provide helpful information.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve user conflicts, reported issues, and policy violations efficiently and professionally.
  • Enforce community rules consistently and fairly, applying warnings, suspensions, or bans as necessary.
  • Escalate complex or high-priority issues to appropriate internal teams, including legal, technical support, or marketing, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide regular feedback and insights to the content and product teams regarding community sentiment, emerging trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of community guidelines and moderation best practices.
  • Report on key community metrics, trends, and incidents to management.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in online community moderation or management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to mediate conflicts and de-escalate difficult situations online.
  • Strong understanding of online safety, privacy concerns, and digital ethics.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms and community management tools.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • High level of empathy, patience, and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a remote team environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools for community performance tracking.
