Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our logistics, workflow, and staff control functions in Northfield, Aberdeen. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations and workflow processes.
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
  • Oversee inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process re-engineering, and technology adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with overarching business objectives.
  • Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Report on operational performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in operations management, preferably within the logistics or supply chain sector.
  • Demonstrable expertise in workflow optimization, process improvement, and staff management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and operational metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant operational software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar continuous improvement methodologies qualification.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of local and international logistics regulations and compliance standards.
