Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor production teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous employee development and engagement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and environmental policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven corrective actions as necessary to meet targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, sales, and engineering departments to optimize material flow and product delivery.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Manage operational budgets, controlling expenditures and optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
  • Prepare and present regular, comprehensive reports on operational performance to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of staff.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities under pressure, with a focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related engineering field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant project management qualifications.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset for communication within Quebec.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
