Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and simulate complex optical systems and components using industry-standard software (e.g., ZEMAX, Code V).
  • Develop and execute optical test plans, conduct experiments, and analyze data to validate performance and optimize designs.
  • Prototype optical systems, including component selection, alignment, and characterization in a laboratory setting.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of optical subsystems into broader product architectures.
  • Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from initial concept generation and feasibility studies to manufacturing support and quality control.
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and experimental results meticulously.
  • Research and evaluate new optical technologies, materials, and components to enhance current and future product offerings.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in optical design software (e.g., ZEMAX, Code V, LightTools).
  • Strong understanding of geometrical and physical optics principles.
  • Experience with optical component selection, specification, and procurement.
  • Hands-on experience with optical testing equipment (e.g., interferometers, spectrometers, laser profilometers).
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages for data analysis and modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
