Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, and facial trauma repair.
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, evaluations, and diagnostic imaging interpretation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with referring dentists and specialists.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring optimal recovery and outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous patient records in compliance with all regulatory standards and privacy laws.
- Ensure strict adherence to sterilization protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay abreast of surgical advancements.
- Provide clear and compassionate patient education regarding procedures, risks, and post-operative instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supervise and mentor clinical support staff within the surgical setting.
Required Skills
- DDS/DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
- Board Certification or eligibility for Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry and oral surgery in Ontario.
- Valid CPR and ACLS certifications.
- Proven proficiency in a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgical techniques.
- Exceptional diagnostic and treatment planning abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
