Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive cleaning of kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and kitchen equipment, to the highest hygiene standards.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as instructed by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
- Receive and organise deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Support the culinary team by ensuring all necessary utensils and equipment are clean and readily available for the morning shift.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles.
- Safely dispose of waste and recycling, maintaining a tidy and organised waste area.
- Perform routine checks on kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful working environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues.
