You will be instrumental in identifying and reporting suspicious activities, managing incidents from initial detection through to resolution, and coordinating with mobile patrols, emergency services, and client representatives. Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms during overnight shifts.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to all alarms, security incidents, and emergencies.
- Coordinate effectively with mobile security patrols, emergency services, and client contacts.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all security activities, incidents, and system checks.
- Generate comprehensive incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Conduct regular health checks of security equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Provide remote support and guidance to on-site security personnel as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company and client security policies and procedures.
- Manage incoming calls and communications related to security operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of control room operations and security protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a control room, surveillance, or security operations environment.
- SIA Licence (Security Guarding or CCTV PSS).
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using CCTV, alarm monitoring, and access control software.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently during overnight hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with advanced security management systems (e.g., Genetec, Milestone).
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience in report writing and incident management.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and protocols in the UK.
