As a Panel Beater with Hiring.zycto, you will be responsible for a wide range of body repair tasks, from minor dents and scratches to extensive structural damage. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately assessing vehicle damage and planning appropriate repair methods.
  • Dismantling and reassembling vehicle components, including body panels, doors, and bumpers.
  • Performing vehicle body repair tasks such as panel beating, filling, sanding, and shaping.
  • Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, including dent pullers, MIG/SPOT welders, and grinders.
  • Executing chassis and structural repairs, ensuring correct alignment and structural integrity.
  • Masking and meticulously preparing vehicles for paint application.
  • Adhering strictly to manufacturer repair methods and workshop safety guidelines.
  • Collaborating effectively with paint technicians, estimators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Conducting thorough quality checks on all completed work to ensure the highest standards of repair and finish.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a qualified Panel Beater.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and processes.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of panel beating tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical diagrams and repair manuals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload efficiently.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Body Repair.
  • Experience with advanced repair techniques such as plastic welding, aluminium repair, and bonding.
  • Certifications from IMI, ATA, or other recognized industry bodies.
  • Familiarity with various vehicle diagnostic systems and their implications for body repair.
