Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and compassionately transport patients via wheelchairs, trolleys, and beds between departments.
  • Assist patients with limited mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity during transfers.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, explaining processes and offering reassurance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and hospital policies, including infection control guidelines.
  • Liaise with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient movements.
  • Provide basic assistance to patients as needed, such as helping with personal belongings.
  • Respond to requests for patient transport in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for patients and colleagues alike.
