Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
- Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and communicate financial responsibilities to patients.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare new patient packets and ensure all necessary forms are completed accurately.
- Assist with patient flow, ensuring timely movement through the intake process.
- Provide general administrative support to the office staff as needed.
- Educate patients on clinic policies, procedures, and available services.
- Handle co-payments and reconcile daily transactions.
