Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in conversation and stimulating activities.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a tidy living space.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation as needed.
- Run errands, grocery shop, and provide transportation to appointments (if applicable and agreed upon).
- Remind clients to take medications on schedule.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Genuine empathy and compassion for others
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures carefully
- Patience and a positive attitude
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification (will provide training if not certified)
- Bilingual skills (especially Spanish)
