Hiring.zycto is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Pharmacist Manager to lead our retail pharmacy team in the vibrant Bayview Village area of Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to professional standards.
- Manage, train, and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Provide advanced patient counselling on medication use, potential side effects, and health conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local pharmacy regulations and professional guidelines.
- Optimize inventory management, including purchasing, stocking, and loss prevention strategies.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy financial performance, implementing strategies to achieve budget targets and enhance profitability.
- Develop and implement community health initiatives, vaccination programs, and patient education workshops.
- Resolve patient concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other pharmacy stakeholders to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to enhance patient safety and service delivery.
Required Skills
- Licensed Pharmacist in Ontario (Part A)
- Minimum 5 years of retail pharmacy experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient counselling abilities.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Kroll, Nexxsys).
- Solid understanding of pharmacy regulations and ethical practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in advanced practice areas (e.g., injections, prescribing for minor ailments).
- Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
- A track record of successful community health program development.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the Toronto community.
