Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Photobooth Operators to join our team, working with various clients across the Arnold, Nottingham, and wider Nottinghamshire areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who love interacting with people, have a knack for technology, and thrive in the lively atmosphere of events. As a Photobooth Operator, you are not just managing equipment; you are a key part of creating unforgettable memories and a fun, engaging experience for guests at weddings, corporate functions, birthday parties, and various other special occasions.
Your primary role will involve transporting, setting up, and operating state-of-the-art photobooth equipment, guiding guests through the process, and ensuring they have an amazing time. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a vibrant and friendly presence, encouraging participation, assisting with prop selection, and troubleshooting any minor technical glitches on the fly. This role demands a blend of technical competency, exceptional customer service, and a proactive attitude. You must be comfortable working independently, often during evenings and weekends, and possess a valid driving license with access to reliable transport to carry equipment to different venues. Full training on our specific photobooth systems will be provided, but a natural ability to connect with people and a ‘can-do’ attitude are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport, set up, and dismantle photobooth equipment, including cameras, printers, backdrops, and props, at diverse event locations.
- Operate the photobooth system during events, ensuring continuous functionality and promptly resolving minor technical issues.
- Actively engage with guests, encouraging participation, assisting with prop selection, and guiding them through the photo-taking and printing process.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and energetic demeanor, providing excellent customer service and enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of props, ensuring they are presented attractively and readily available.
- Manage print queues and digital photo sharing options, ensuring guests receive their desired keepsakes.
- Adhere strictly to event schedules, arrival times, setup, operational, and breakdown timeframes.
- Conduct pre-event checks of all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide regular updates and feedback to event organisers or management regarding event flow and any significant issues.
- Ensure all equipment is securely packed and accounted for post-event.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic technical aptitude for setting up and operating electronic equipment (cameras, printers, computers).
- Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues on-site effectively and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- A valid UK driving license and access to reliable personal transport capable of carrying equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry photobooth equipment (up to 20kg) safely.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on event schedules.
- Professional appearance and attitude suitable for event environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a photobooth, DJ equipment, or similar event entertainment technology.
- Experience within the event, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
- Basic understanding of photography principles or experience with photo editing software.
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles.
- First Aid certification (advantageous but not mandatory).
